Kawasaki has finally taken the veils from three of its updated Ninja products. The Japanese automaker has unveiled the new Ninja ZX-10RR, the Ninja 650 and the Ninja 1000 at the ongoing 2016 Intermot Motor Show in Germany. Here’s the brief insight of all the three models concerning the mechanical and aesthetic aspects:
Ninja ZX-10RR:
More or less similar to the ordinary ZX-10RR, the limited edition motorcycle will be brought for the homologation purpose and acquire race prospective engine. In terms of modification, it will get a revamped cylinder head for accepting high-lift cams, the tappets will feature a coating of DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) to reduce friction, and the crankcases to diminish the rigors of the race track.
Besides the aforementioned, the updated RR will be armed with a new bidirectional KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter), which lets down the gearbox and shift up seamlessly.
Ninja 650:

As far as the changes in the engine are concerned, the parallel twin motor is now Euro IV compliant, however, makes a displacement of 649cc. Output configuration has also been modified i.e. the power is dropped down to 69BHP from 71BHP, but, the motor offers low and midrange torque. Fuel efficiency has been enhanced up to 6.8 per cent as against the older mill.
Ninja 1000:
Third, in the queue, the Ninja 1000 has got a host of aesthetic and mechanical alterations as well. Though the signature styling remains intact, the visage gets more aggressive owing to the all-LED headlamps. Apart from this, the fairing becomes wider now with a taller adjustable screen. The couch is broadened with a thicker padding. An updated instrument console featuring a large tachometer is again a noticeable feature.
Powertrain has been untouched, albeit the engine is now Euro IV compliant. Moreover, the sports machine will now be getting the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) in order to deal with the Kawasaki Cornering Management Management System.
Due to the low demand of the standard ZX-10R, the picture of availability of the updated model in India is pretty vague, however, the rest two variants are anticipated to be launched in 2017.
