INTERMOT: BMW has unveiled two new models R1200R and R1200RS for 2015

The BMW Motorradd has unveiled its two new models R1200R and R1200RS for 2015. Both the bikes will appear in the INTERMOT Cologne motorcycle show. The R1200R is a naked Boxer roadster bike while the R1200RS is based on sports racer. Moreover, both the bike is featured with ABS technology and traction control system as standard, automatic stability control while the dynamic traction control and two riding modes with braking sensors are an option on this bike.

Thus, both the bikes are built on a new chassis that will give a dynamic ride quality on the roads. Furthermore, both the bike comes with an upside-down telescopic fork at the front and Paralever suspension at the rear that gives better control on the corners and the company also offers dynamic electronic suspension control as options along with two damping settings as dynamic and Raod that can be change according to your ride conditions.

Moreover, like the R1200RS, the roadster version gets a newly design dashboard which is the combination of analog and digital instrument that gives a dynamic look to the bike. The R1200RS has a half-fairing which contains a front body cowl and dual headlights, while the R1200R gets a single headlight.

Both the bikes get the water-cooled 1170cc boxer flat-twin engine which is the same in 1200GS. The engine makes 125hp of power at 7,750RPM and develops its peak of 92lbft at 6,500RPM. Thus, in comparison of RT, GS and GS adventure, the torque of R1200RS has been slightly increased at low revs. The R1200R comes in metallic gray, blue or granite gray while the R1200RS comes in white, blue and gray.
