Jaguar F-Pace First Look Revealed in Video

To create a buzz in the market, Jaguar has revealed a side profile and internal structure of its upcoming F-pace before its global premiere at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show. The exterior part of this luxury car is inspired by the Jaguar C-X17 concept. It will be based on the newly developed iQ aluminium platform that is utilized by other Jaguar cars as well including the XE and XF models.

This all new F-Pace will make use of the chassis technology accompanied by distinctive features like torque vectoring system, and a feedback-rich EPS (electronic power steering). The crossover will also carry a Double Wishbone front suspension and Integral Link rear suspension, thereby making the ride smooth even on poorly constructed roads.

Source of power for this upcoming model will be company's 4-cylinder Ingenium powertrain along with a 3 litre, V6 unit with both diesel and petrol options. For transmission, there will be a 6-speed manual gearbox in the diesel trim while for others, power will be transmitted via an 8-speed automatic unit. An AWD set up could be available as a standard facility across the range.

The Jaguar F-Pace will be challenged by likes of Mercedes GLE, BMW X6 and Porsche Cayenne. It will be manufactured at Jaguar's production facility located at Solihull, England and is likely to be put on sale at the beginning of 2016. The car will make its way to the Indian shores later.
