Jaguar is all set to launch its much anticipated F-Type SVR in India at earliest. Notedly, the automaker unveiled the F-Type SVR as a global debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor. This is said to be Jaguar’s flagship sports car, which is soon to be seen on the Indian streets. According to the carmaker, the F-Type SVR is said to be the fastest F-Type of all.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR is based on the F-Type R AWD platform. Powering the F-Type SVR is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that is good enough to propel a maximum power of 567 bhp followed by a peak torque of 700 Nm. The power transmission is done through all wheels, mating via eight speed automatic gearbox . It is more than the power delivered by the F-Type R, which is around 543 bhp. The carmaker claims that the SVR is capable to sprint 0-100kmph in just 3.5 seconds. The F-Type SVR offers a top speed of 200mph.
The suspension is strengthened with special metals, while the alloy wheels come in lightweight surrounded by wide tyres. The all-wheel-drive system gets amazing stability control, which is very helpful in driving on high speed. The front fascia gets a reprofiled front bumper and splitter. The additional carbon fibre active rear wing improves the aerodynamics of the car efficiently. The titanium alloy made exhaust is said to be more sound generator.
However, some reports suggest that the car will be offered in India under the R AWD configuration. It will be imported to India via CBU.
