Jaguar Introduces 2018 F-Type SVR Coupe, Convertible; Booking Started

Jaguar introduced F-Type SVR in the country in convertible and coupe forms which are priced at Rs 2.80 crore and Rs 2.65 crore respectively. Although the company has already revealed the prices of the F-Type SVR twins in last year, the MY2018 cars are now ready to purchase in the market. The MY2018 car obtains subtle changes in terms of the new daytime running LED lights along with a new bumper, improved tail-lights, and integrated indicators.

The F-Type SVR model is the standard version of the V8 F-Type R which has been escalated up using Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division of the Jaguar Land Rover. It is powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine generating a peak power of 575hp and a peak torque of 700Nm, an increase of 25hp and 20Nm when comparing with the F-Type R.

The vehicle runs on all four wheels and comes mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The Coupe weights 1,705kg and able to reach 100 kph in just 3.7sec from an idle situation and reaches the top speed of 322kph. The Convertible is slightly heavier and can reach 100 kph from an idle position in just 3.7 sec and reaches a top speed of 314kph.

Furthermore, the F-Type SVR takes 20-inch forged alloys, lightweight performance seats, upholstery quilted leather, Inconel exhaust, a carbon-fiber rear wing and a lightweight titanium. It as well obtains optional carbon-ceramic brakes, lighter rear suspension knuckles, and 21kg more in weight as compared to the standard setup.

The F-Type SVR Coupe competes the Mercedes-AMG GT R, Porsche 911 Turbo S and the Nissan GT-R in India. When it comes to the front fascia, it competes with the Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet.
