Jaguar Land Rover Takes the Virtual Screen Concept to Next Level

It's been quite a few times that the British car manufacturer has hit the headline for its '360 Virtual Urban Windscreen' system which allows drive to drive the car more efficiently without taking eyes off the road while staying safe from many of the possible accidental situations. This virtual screen also has many more features to show parking space, navigation and much more. The system works in synchronization with the movement of driver to offer the best possible views from every side. For example, the right and left pillars made transparent according to the direction of the driver's head.

Basically, the Jaguar cars will now come equipped with the cameras on the exteriors and the live feed from the these cameras will make the A-Pillars transparent to provide additional safety. The director of Research and Development wing Mr. Wolfgang Epple said “Driving on city streets can be a stressful experience, but imagine being able to drive across town without having to look at road signs, or be distracted trying to locate a parking space as your drive by. We want to present all this information on a heads-up display in the diver's eye-line, so the driver doesn't have to seek it out for themselves and take their eyes off the road ahead.”

This virtual screen is also able to show hazard warning, satellite navigation and every other thing which is not very usual to see any of the current generation cars. The information could also be stretched on full windscreen as well.
