Jagaur is expected to launch its luxury XE sedan next year in India at the 2016 Auto Expo, and if the reports are to be believed, then this car might be brought from the Solihull plant of Land Rover paced in the United Kingdom to Tata's plant in Pune for assembly purpose, just like the XF and XJ. Emerging as the contender of the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C Class and Volvo S60, the Indian spec model is probably to be powered by a new 2.0 litre four cylinder Ingenium diesel engine.
This oil burner mill would get mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that will act as a distributor for supplying the produced power to the rear wheels of this upcoming vehicle. However, the market reports also mention that it will include a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine as well as a 3.0 litre V6 petrol mill. The latter one is presumed to deliver power of 340 PS and there are expectations that Jaguar may introduce these engine variants in India too.
