Jeep launched a special edition and restricted number of model of Compass SUV named the Bedrock edition at a price tag of Rs. 17.53 lakh in India. It is only available with the diesel engine option, using the base Sport trim and gets more cosmetic and equipment modifications inside and outside. This model is introduced to cherish the 25,000 units sale of the Compass.
It is colored in three paint options including Exotica Red, Minimal Grey, and Vocal White. The Compass Bedrock comes equipped with the black roof rails, decals on the doors and black-colored 16-inch alloy wheels.
Coming to the inside, it gets new floor mats, Bedrock-badged seat covers, 5.0-inch infotainment system, dynamic guidance with a reversing camera. Taking inspiration from the Sport trim, it gets traction control, an electric parking brake, folding wing mirrors, power adjust, four-wheel disc brakes, stability, ABS, EBD, dual-front airbags and various features as well.
The company offers the Jeep Compass Bedrock model powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine generating a maximum power of 173hp which runs on the front wheels using a six-speed manual transmission. At the price point, the special edition Sport is available at Rs. 16.55 lakh whereas Longitude trims at Rs. 17.87 lakh.
Jeep is likely to get the Trail Rated version of the Compass soon in the country and the Renegade facelift is also to bring in the market soon. In the upcoming years, Jeep will bring a sub-4m SUV which is under-work now.
