Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Finally Arrives in India for Homologation

The American automaker Fiat Chrysler had a good run in India with its new Punto Evo and Avventura crossover as well. The company also was supposed to launch the Jeep SUV brand in India a couple of years ago, but has delayed it till the last of this year. However, now Jeep has brought the Grand Cherokee 4x4 Overland in India for the homologation purpose and this I guess is the surety that India will get the Jeep SUVs from this year for sure. The car which has been brought to the country has already commenced testing and is running on the 3.0 Litre V6 EcoDiesel engine, which will be the major power option for the brand in India.

The car will be getting many features like Bi-Xenon headlamps, LED DRLs, leather-trimmed instrument panel, 20-inch polished wheels, Nappa leather upholstery and many other features as well. Also, apart from the above mentioned engine options, there could be another one on the list that is 3.6 Litre Pentastar 3.6 Litre V6 petrol engine as well with both petrol and diesel engine mated with the same 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox unit.

Although, the price of the any of the Jeep models haven't been released yet, but it'll surly target the insanely growing luxury car market in India and hence will take the guard against the like of Range Rover Discovery Sports, Mercedes GL-Class, BMW X Series, Audi Q Series and others well.
