Jeep is very close to finish its product line up for India and the automaker has started updating its official website. It has been reported that the company has published the variant details of the upcoming Wrangler SUV on its Official India Website. The SUV is scheduled to be launched by next month. Jeep claims that the wrangler is a powerful SUV and will be powered by a diesel powertrain accompanied by four-wheel drive configuration.
Jeep Wrangler is designed to perform seamlessly and offer amazing ride quality on all kinds of terrain. It is said to be a complete off-roader as it comes with a ground clearance of 238 mm. Under the hood, lies a 2.8-liter diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 197 bhp and a torque of 460 Nm. It comes with additional value added equipments such as solid axle and differential locks. The engine gets mated to a five-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system, powering all the wheels.
The interior offers generous cabin space that can easily accommodate five persons. It offers a boot space of 884 litres for placing luggage. The dashboard comes with latest touch-screen infotainment system with in-built navigation system and a music system with storage up to 28GB. Other major features include heated front seats and tyre pressure monitoring system.
On the safety front, the SUV gets ESP, dual airbags for front occupants, hill descent control and traction control. The Wrangler will arrive India via CBU and it will be offered in five colour options like White, granite crystal, black, firecracker red and billet silver metallic
