Finally, Jeep has launched the petrol-powered Wrangle in India at the price of INR 56 lakh (Ex-showroom). This is available as a 5-door Unlimited body style only. Compared to the diesel one, the new variant is INR 15.59 lakhs cheaper and this could be a big surprise to the all car enthusiasts.
Talking about the powertrain, the Jeep Wrangler Petrol comes with a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 motor that is good enough to propel the unit with a 285 bhp of power with 353 Nm of peak torque. The same 5-speed automatic gearbox along with all-wheel drive facility is mated to the engine which is currently doing in the ongoing diesel-spec unit.
No changes have been reported on the design and styling as they seem similar to the run-of-the diesel-powered unit. Though the petrol one has no direct rival in its class, the pricing puts the Wrangler petrol in line with the vehicle likes of Mercedes GLC and Land Rover Discovery Sport.
