At the beginning of the year, 2015, the Bajaj Auto Ltd. has made an announcement that the firm will be going to introduce six new products in the first six months. However, the list of these upcoming six products was not being disclosed by the manufacturer. We would be expecting the Pulsar SS200 and SS 400 to make their appearance in the Indian two-wheeler market. Apart from these two, we've got a tail that the firm is also working to upgrade the existing version of the Bajaj Avenger. The Bajaj Avenger is the light-weighted cruiser motorcycle available in the Indian two-wheeler market and most liked by the Indian youth crowd.
The company has been selling more than 3000 units of Bajaj Avenger with no such efforts. The cruiser motorcycle has gone through only a single update in 2010 since its introduction. The update comprises of the introduction of the new engine. The cruiser has been sharing its 220cc displaced engine from the Bajaj Pulsar 220F. After being blessed with new engine, the Avenger hasn't gone through any other update. According to CNBC-TV18, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, says that the company's six launches planned for the first half of the year could possibly include a new Avenger, alongside the new Pulsars.
The update of the Bajaj Avenger might have gone through a downgrade in the engine displacement. The existing mill is powered by a single-cylinder motor carrying an engine displacement of 220cc. While the upcoming variant would be expected to share its technical specifications from the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS. Carrying a new engine, the motorcycle would also be featuring some significant cosmetic upgrades, enhancing the beauty of the cruiser.
The cosmetic upgrades might comprises of a fresh appeal carrying new body paint scheme, body decals, new tyres and updated instrument cluster. Well, carrying all these technical and cosmetic changes, we might expect that the Bajaj Avenger will be coming carrying a higher price tag as well.
