Kawasaki India Commences Ninja 400 Deliveries in Select Cities

The deliveries for the Ninja 400 has been opened by Kawasaki India in select cities. The company has delivered the Ninja 400’ first unit to its prospective customer in Mumbai.

The several global markets have superseded Kawasaki Ninja 300 with this newcomer. Though, the Indian market will continue to receive the Ninja 400 alongside the Ninja 300. The pricing for this newbie is INR 4.69 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Besides being priced absurdly, the Ninja 400 is getting customers owing to its styling shared from its litre-class sibling, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R that makes it an attractive offering in the segment.

Aesthetically, Kawasaki Ninja 400 gets LED headlamp, position lamps and tail lamp which looks great on big sharp body panels being used in constructing the motorcycle. The Ninja 400 based on an all-new lightweight frame. As compared to the Ninja 300, the used chassis is rigid in nature.

Mechanically, the equipped 399cc parallel-twin engine is an all-new unit, which is capable of generating the peak power of 47.5bhp along with 38Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox with the slipper clutch as standard fitment. Kawasaki Ninja 400 suspension setup comprises 41mm telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. Whereas, a pair of a 310mm front disc and 220mm rear disc in association with ABS handles braking duties.

As of now, only the KRT edition that is available in limited counts is on sale. The company claims that the Ninja 300 would not be discontinued from the Indian lineup as it is highly popular among the biking enthusiasts. If the Ninja 400 is not been able to attract a wide range of customers, the company will drop the price of the motorcycle in order to pull the audience.
