Kawasaki Launches the Z900 RS Streetfighter in India, Priced for INR 15.30 lakhs

The green giant manufacturer has rolled out a neo-retro version of the Z900 streetfighter for the Indian audience. The bike maker tagged this CBU imported motorcycle with an astronomical price tag of INR 15.30 lakhs.

Purposely designed for endowing a perfect blend of classic styling and modern underpinnings, the Z900 RS is finished in the dual-tone paint scheme. The paint scheme and the tank shape seems inspired by the Kawasaki Z1. Whereas, the components such as the LED headlamp and digital instrumentation give an upmarket appeal to the motorcycle. Built on a trellis frame, the upright seating position made it the best fit for the daily commute.

The Z900 RS gets the refined iteration of the 946cc inline-four engine as its beating heart. Electronically adjusted for better mid-range torque, the engine is liable now to develop 110bhp and 98 Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox transmission. The slipper clutch assist is also being given by the company for feather smooth transmission. The electronic package of the Z900 RS consists of a traction control system with an ‘Off’ setting, two riding modes and a switchable ABS. The suspension setup comprises 41mm inverted front forks and a rear monoshock. Both the units are being offered with adjustable rebound and preload settings.

In terms of rivalry, the Z900 RS goes in competition with the likes of the available range of other modern classics in the Indian market such as the Ducati Scrambler, the Triumph Bonneville T100 and the BMW R nine T.
