Kawasaki Versys 650 Reached India for Homologation Purpose, Launch Soon

Purchasing a tourer motorcycle was once the pretty difficult task in the country like India, as you won't be having several options to choose from. Now, the Kawasaki is on its way to make the selection criteria an easy and approachable task by offering a wide-range of products underneath the touring segment. The Japanese two-wheeler giant is planning to expand its tourer line-up in the country, as the firm has recently brought down the Kawasaki Versys 650 over the Indian shores for the homologation purpose. If launched, this would be the second motorcycle making its official appearance in the Kawasaki Versys series of tourer motorcycles in India.

The 2015 Kawasaki Versys 650 was first introduced in the INTERMOT, which took place in the first week of October, 2014; along with the Kawasaki Versys 1000. The firm freshly launched the Versys 1000 for the Indian fanatics in the beginning of the fiscal year, 2015. The appearance made by the Versys 650 for homologation purpose clearly vindicates that it is a soon to be launched motorcycle. The younger sibling looks fresh and bears the very same aggressiveness in styling.

Mechanically, the Versys 650 is built around a parallel-twin, 649cc displaced motor, which is accompanied with liquid-cooling system. It is one of the high-end performance motorcycles featuring a fuel-injected engine, while mated to a 6-speed transmission. The 649cc displaced engine is capable to deliver a churning power of 68.1 BHP @ 8500 RPM and achieve a maximum torque of 64 Nm @ 7000 RPM. The Versys 650 and the Ninja 650, both have been blessed with the similar power mill, as per tuned by Kawasaki boffins to achieve an efficient ride with high-performance.

Being a tourer motorcycle, the Kawasaki Versys 650 is featuring an adjustable front visor, a 21 liter capacity fuel tank, height adjustable seat, raised handlebars and dual headlamps. The tourer motorcycle houses a revised suspension at both front and rear, to provided better load carrying duties and comfortable riding for the pillion rider as well.
