Kawasaki Versys Officially Launched in India, Priced at INR 4.60 Lakh

The giant performance motorcycle manufacturer from Japan, Kawasaki has ultimately introduced its all-new adventure tourer motorcycle, the Versys in India. The motorcycle is priced at INR 4.60 (Pan-India).

At the launch event, Mr. Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors defined the bike as, “The Versys-X 300 will offer a high level of riding excitement and rider confidence in a wide variety of roads. What makes Versys-X 300 versatile is comfortable highway cruising and easy riding in the city.”

Based on Ninja 300, the Versys-X 300 underpins a newly developed chassis that houses the similar 296cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, Parallel Twin engine unit of the former one. The mill in question is rated to develop the maximum power of 39.45 Bhp at 11,500 and the peak twisting force of 25.70 Nm at 10,000 rpm. All the generated power will be dispatched to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

In order to regain goodwill for after-sales service that was ended with the break up of Bajaj-Kawasaki alliance, the green giant is looking forward to starting 4-6 new dealerships in the near future. Though, it’s not a very big thing still it will help in reducing the wait for the customers servicing their bikes mostly in 2-tier and 3-tier cities.

Other than this, the servicing facility for the remaining customer will be taken care by the service camps that are in automaker’s plans in near future for the cities with no formal dealerships. The Kawasaki will provide the information of the service camps via social media that will help the bikers to select their appropriate locations for getting their bikes serviced.
