Kawasaki W800 Seen at a Dealership Display; Expected to Launch Soon

A whole new retro-classic motorcycle from the Japanese outfit- the Kawasaki W800 has been observed at a dealership in Pune. Albeit, its launch is not confirmed yet. Earlier in November month, when we informed you about the introduction of its only model for homologation process in the country. This first ever modern classic model from Kawasaki in India was speculated to launch by the early next year. But now, the motorcycle has started reaching dealerships and the confirmed witness displayed model at Pune dealership showcase, is now emphasizing its introduction as earlier can possible.

The Kawasaki W800, which is an older iteration of Estrella 250 uses to churn power from a 773 cc, V-Twin engine. The engine is claimed to develop a maximum power of 47bhp and delivers a peak torque of 60Nm via the coupled six-speed gearbox transmission. For suspension duties, the motorcycle is armed with telescopic front fork and twin spring coil rear mono shock. Whereas, the braking is under the consideration of disc brake upfront and a rear drum brake.

On aesthetics featuring, the old school styled W800 is adorned with a round headlight, a slender fuel tank with knee recess padding, well-cushioned long seat, chrome finished fenders, blacked out exhaust system, and spoke wheels.

Apart from the Indian market, the Kawasaki W800 has already marked its presence in the Indonesian market earlier this year. There, it has been introduced in two trims- standard and the special edition models at IDR 249 million (around INR 12.72 lakhs) and IDR 251 million (around INR 12.82 lakhs) respectively.

If talked about its Indian market entrance, the motorcycle will be available here via a CBU channel, at competitive pricing for knocking its head with the market leader- Triumph Bonneville and other brands offering in the segment.
