Now-a-days, several two-wheeler makers have started importing their high-end products over the Indian ground for testing purpose; this clearly vindicates their interest in Indian two-wheeler market. KTM, an Austria-based two-wheeler maker is planning to introduce adventure motorcycle in the country. Recently, the company has imported two units of KTM Duke 390 Adventure in the country for research and development purpose. The company has given a Codename to the both motorcycles ‘KT22’. Rumors suggest that the Adventure machine will be based on the company’s highly anticipated naked street-fighter, Duke 390. It would be the first time when a small engined adventure motorcycle will be making its appearance in this category.

Moreover, the company has not released any details yet about the technical specifications of the motor, but it is expected that the small 373.2cc engine compartment might be featured with a two-cylinder unit. Therefore, the power figure and gear ratio might be re-tuned to generate more power output in the comparison of Duke 390. The Adventure version could be featured with a long travel front suspension, semi-fairing at the front with redesigned headlamp, new side mounted exhaust, stiffer swingarm and comfortable seat height.
Being an adventure motorcycle, the price of the machine will be noticeably higher than KTM Duke 390. Some reports suggested that the earlier spy shots of the motorcycle which have seen with a side mounted exhaust was actually the Adventure version in disguise.
