KTM 1290 SM-T Spied While Trials In Italy

The KTM is gearing up to increase its line-up to introduce a new adventure touring motorcycle, KTM 1290 SM-T. According the reports, the upcoming bike 1290 SM-T has been caught during testing in Italy. As per the spied image of the bike, it seems that the upcoming bike has been almost developed and it will reach the production line soon.

In terms of designing, the motorcycle incorporates the same chrome-molybdenum steel tubular space frame which is visible in spied photograph. The bike offers a dynamic balancing power as it is blessed with WP suspensions. It provides comfortable seating position as the vehicle is featured with redesigned and stepped seat. Moreover, the 1290 SM-T gives a better handling power as it is loaded with the taller handlebar and forward set foot pegs.

Technically, The KTM 1290 SM-T is powered by the V-Twin and 1301cc motor. This engine is borrowed from its naked sibling and it is mated to the six speed transmission. The motor produces a maximum power of 180 BHP and a peak torque of 143 Nm.

Likely, the upcoming bike will be unveiled at the 2105 EICMA show, which is to be held in November at Milan in Italy. The motorcycle will compete against its rivals i.e. Triumph Tiger Explorer, the BMW S1000XR and Aprilia Caponard 1200.
