KTM Adventure Tourers 390/200 May Come By May 2016

After getting into collaboration with the Austrian giant KTM, the Indian automaker Bajaj has taken over the two-wheeler market with twin tourers 200 and 390 Duke. This partnership resulted in the increased popularity of entry-level and mid-size performance bikes in India. Both of these chief manufactures are performing very well in the market as of now and succeeding in their zone of verticals that are being offered. As per the latest report, Bajaj-KTM is all set to underpin new performance level adventure tourers in India very soon say by May this year. The bikes will be powered by a 200cc and a 373cc mill, which we have seen on other KTM models as well.

The major strategy behind the unveiling of these new products is to compete against the rivalry Royal Enfield, that has recently unveiled RE Himalayan. However, KTM is already giving a tough competition to the said automaker, but, they both have got completely different product ranges.

A report on Autocar Professional said, "Bajaj Auto has developed a new, adventure bike platform under the KTM umbrella. The new model could come with two engine options. These are the ones that it manufactures locally at Chakan.” While some other source revealed that, "the KTM adventure bikes are almost ready. Although it is not sure which engine option will come first, the model(s) could be commercially rolled out as early as April-May 2016."

Recalling from what the CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board Of KTM AG, hinted in 2012, "The 390 (390 Duke) is coming, fully faired versions (RC 200 and RC 390) and the so-called tour-purpose model are also coming. We will have the full model range that can settle in the Asian markets. We will focus more on the higher end, keeping the prime content of KTM very sharp, its ready-to-race attributes, its best performing engine, unique design different from others."

From all these aforementioned facts, it is pretty clear that the upcoming KTM 200 Duke and 390 RC are going to be manufactured by Bajaj. Besides, pricing could be very close to the other cousins.
