KTM endorsed the V-Twin Engine for Subsequent Vehicles

KTM is one of the best and world-known off-roader manufacturers all across the world. This Austrian firm has been developing various models such as Enduro, Freeride, Supermoto, Naked bike, Superports and many more. The firm has recently launched fully-faired RC Series sports motorcycle in India, following the success steps of the Duke Series motorcycles. Till now, the KTM is developing only single-cylinder motorcycles Naked, Enduro or Sports, but from now on the company is also planning to step into the V-Twin engined motorcycles quite soon. The firm has revealed their preceding plans at the EICMA motorcycle show, Milan, Italy.

KTM RC 390

Mr. Stefan Pierer, CEO of KTM has confirmed that they will soon be introducing a whole new range of middleweight sports motorcycles carrying V-Twin engines. The upcoming V-Twin engined sports motorcycle will be ranged in between 600cc to 800cc. The new configuration will be sharing its specifications with the Husqvarna. As, the firm has come-up with two concept models named 401 Vitpilen and 401 Svartpilen at the EICMA, Italy. Sharing the new configuration with the Husqvarna, it would probably also be sharing the development cost as well.

KTM Duke 390

The CEO of KTM, Mr. Stefan Pierer says at the EICMA, "We will have a new KTM mid-class of bikes within around three years. We are looking at the way this will happen, but we are working on 600 to 800cc V-twins." Apart from these, the CEO hasn't spoken anything about any other details, like when it will be coming. And, according to his confirmation, the firm won't be reaching above 800cc engined motorcycles.

Eventually, the KTM Duke Series and RC Series have been doing quite well in the Indian two-wheeler market. And, it is expected that the firm will also introduce the V-Twin engined sports motorcycle along with the Duke 690 and Duke 1290 Adventure. The V-Twin KTM motorcycle will surely give the competition a completely new direction.
