The Dakar Rally is in the conversation of Indian people as this for the first time when an Indian will be participating in the rally. Introducing the Dakar Rally, it is one of the most adventurous off-road endurance races, which took place in South America (From Argentina to Chile). The vehicles used in the rally are truly off-road, either two-wheel or four-wheeler, as it is a typical off-road race. However, the rally was being held, including various special sections such as mud, camel grass, rocks, crossing dunes and off-roads. The Dakar Rally will take place from 4th January to 17th January, 2015.
Since its inception, the KTM has won the Dakar Rally in a continuous manner from past 13 years. And, now this year, India's CS Santosh is also taking part with his hands behind the knuckle guards of the KTM 450 to double the adventure in the rally. CS Santosh has carried an amazing winning history in the Indian National Motocross Championship and many others. He has also taken part in the world's toughest off-road event, World Cross country Rally Championship, which took place in Abu Dhabi and Qatar.

After getting 13 consecutive victories in the Dakar Rally, this year Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team is led by four times Dakar Rally champion Marc Coma of Spain. Well, only CS Santosh gets this honor of being the first Indian to take part in the Dakar Rally. Besides this, various Indian participants have been taken part in the Sherco Motorcycles and TVS Racing. And, these two firms are coming altogether as a Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team to take part in the Dakar Rally.
