The updated KTM Duke and RC models may get a slipper clutch, which the older machines were missed out. Albeit, sold out quite well, the old bikes had dearth of missing one of the prominent mechanical parts in itself. But, appears like the problem gets resolved soon. The 2016 variants could boast a slipper clutch.

Undoubtedly, the launching of KTM tourers in India was a huge success and it fascinated a lot fans as well as the layman audience. Due to the expected applause and demand, the results were pretty much in the favour of the automaker. However, people positively embraced the updates yet it was a major reason that put second thoughts to a lot of early buyers as slipper clutch plays a vital role in the bike, plus helps in better cornering. Ergo, before the introduction of the next generation Dukes and RCs, KTM is trying to stable their minds and wants all the customers to be satisfied utmost. The previous variants of the tourers would now be offered with the retrofitted slipper clutch assembly.

Though, this would ideally a great news for all the initial Duke and RC 390 holders, but the assembly cost on the motorcycle will add up an extra cost of Rs. 11000/-, which includes the labour and taxes as well.
Notably the Duke and RC 200 offerings can’t be benefited with convenience and assurance of the essential component Slipper clutch. The KTM 390 series holder, only have to go to any KTM service centre and the rest is the headache of the company.
