Jaguar Land Rover has opened the booking counters for the latest Land Rover Discovery Sport ahead of making its introduction in India by the end of next month or early October. Based on the lighter platform, this upcoming SUV will be adorned with the brand's new design language, including lots of stunning features to impress the customers at its first glance. Most of the features will be motivated by the Range Rover Evoque, such as aggressive front fascia and tail light.
Notably, the third row seats would be flexible in context of getting folded down easily to offer a comfortable seating for two children and five occupants. This SUV will make its presence in the Indian showrooms in top HSE trim comprising more powerful two engine options, TD4 150 PS and TD4 180 PS. Mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the former will produce a considerable power of 148 bhp, while the latter will offer 178 bhp of appreciable power and seems to have two transmission options, a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic.
The production of the Land Rover Discovery Sport has already been commenced before a couple of months in our country. As it will be arriving via CKD route, so there are anticipations that the forthcoming SUV would get the competitive price tag, which would be enough in giving the dreadful challenge to the other models listed within the same range.
