Lexus LX 450d Arrived in India for Homologation Purpose

Nissan’s sister company, Toyota holds a distinguished place in the Indian auto segment for each of its categories like hatchback, sedan, and MUV. With the increasing demand of SUV in the country, the carmaker is also planning to bring its subsidiary, Lexus, which is a known name in the auto world for making most luxurious and efficient machines.

After welcoming a long-awaited decision, recently the Japanese automaker Toyota’s own brand Lexus had brought up the ES 300h hybrid sedan to India for homologation purpose. And now, another Lexus unit, LX 450d SUV has been imported to the country for the same purpose. Earlier this year, the company is also reported to introduce three hybrid models here in the country that is not on the list for now, but we believe to see them in the near future.

Lexus LX 450d at the rear end

Coming to the details, Lexus LX 450d will be powered by a 4.5-litre V8 diesel engine that is tuned to fire out 268 Bhp of power with a peak torque of 650 Nm. With the help of a 6-speed automatic transmission, the engine will dispatch the power to the all four axles. As shown in the Zauba records, it has been shipped here for certification purpose from its home and was dispatched at Ennore port, Chennai.

Anyway, it is too early to talk about any other details, but as the carmaker is renowned for its features, performance, and classy looks, we can expect all these with the India based model as well. Pricing aspects are also unknown to us, however, LX 450d might be offered near INR 1.10 Crore (Ex-showroom).
