Mahindra Mojo Registered a Price Hike of INR 8,000

Mahindra, a huge automobile manufacturing firm has increased the price of its premium segment motorcycle, Mojo by INR 8,000. Now it will be available to retail at a slightly expensive price sticker than before, INR 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

Around 14 months back, the Mojo had made its debut in the India's biking world at a competitive purchase amount of INR 1.58 lakh. Since then, various updates has been noticed on the machine, cosmetically and mechanically. But the most prominent is the significant growth in the tourer's pricing. Currently, It stands on the price tag, INR 15,000 costlier than the launched price. Besides, the brand is also offering a number of touring-focused accessories like saddlebags, a tank bag, and a tail pannier mount along with a new paint scheme, Sunburst Yellow, was included in the lineup in November 2016.

The hiked price of Mojo is concluded as the rise in taxes for the higher capacity motorcycles. Apparently, this aggressively designed Mojo is featured with lots of alluring aesthetics that manages to keep eye of the enthusiasts on it, includes monstrous twin eye headlamp, chiseled massive fuel tank with crisp lines, promising suspension setup, comfortable seat, narrower tail section and one-into-two exhaust system.

While powering for this premium tourer comes from a BS-IV compliant 300cc, single cylinder engine that deals in exception power output, 27bhp at 8000rpm and 30Nm at 5500Nm. All the power is sent to the rear wheel via an armed 6-speed transmission unit. Runs on the 17-inch black alloys wrapped with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres, Mojo deals with shocks by the USD front forks and rear mono shock. Whereas, the braking duties are taken care by a 320mm petal disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.

Interestingly, an ABS equipped Mojo, along with two new variants are also suggested to launch in 2017.
