Mahindra and Mahindra is prepared to launch the popular e20 EV in the global market. To be noted, the e20 EV was witnessed at the 2016 Auto Expo few months back. The company will start the introduction with the UK Market. The international-bound e20 is expected to be available in the price range of £13,000-16,000, which is about INR 12-15 lakh in India. The UK spec Mahindra e2o will be able to cover 120kms on a fully charged battery. The automaker has also added some additional safety features such as ABS, airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, and electronic stability programme.
According to the recent reports, Mahindra will sell the e20 models via online portal. The customers willing to make purchase may check the features and book a test drive as per their convenience. Later on, the carmaker will also introduce a mobile team to carry out the after sales maintenance task of the e20.
Arvind Mathew, Mahindra EV division leader commented, “The Mahindra e2o is a savvy electric car that redefines sustainable urban driving. We designed the e2o, as well as our complete sales and service model, to be more convenient and flexible in keeping with the way our UK customers live and work.”
About 10,000 units of battery operated vehicles are sold in UK annually and the company expects a good growth rate in the country,. With the introduction of the e20 EV, Mahindra will once again embark its presence in the global market.
