The variant list of the country’s first Premium Urban Compact vehicle, Maruti Ignis have made its way online ahead of its official launch on January 13. The details come out through an ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) documents posted by Team-Bhp. Going by these documents it is confirmed that the India bound Ignis will be offered in 14 different variants including both petrol and diesel engine options. There is also an AMT derivative with both fuel types along with a taxi unit as well. Here is the list of those variants, do have a look:

According to ARAI document, the Indian-spec Ignis will come up with a K-Series 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 61 kw/85bhp of power at 6000 rpm. The diesel engine will be there in the form of a 1.3-litre unit making out a power of 75 bhp with 190 Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be offered with the vehicle, however, the top-end variant Alpha will miss out an AMT box.
Well, Maruti Ignis Premium Urban Compact has already been unveiled back in last month, albeit, there are yet to be revealed some details about the same including price as well, which is expected to be fall in between INR 6.5 Lakh to INR 9.5 Lakh (Ex-showroom). Once launched, it will take on the likes of Hyundai i20 Active and Mahindra KUV 100, which is recently launched in the Indian car place.
