Maruti Suzuki Calls Back 33,000 Units of Alto in India

India's leading auto manufacturer brand Maruti Suzuki has again been landed into some unhappy talks of unfit cars. However, no crash test has been performed this time, but the issues is of production which has cause the car-maker to recall around 33,000 units of its Alto 800 and Alto K10 manufactured between December 8, 2014 to February 18, 2014. The dealers of the company across the country will be replacing the ill-manufactured door latch of the right side in these cars without costing a single penny to the owner. Although no complained were reported of this by any customer, instead the company conducted an in-house inspection and found this was going on.

To identify the cars, there is tool available on the company's official website “www.marutisuzuki.com” where the owners who have bought the car on or after December 8, 2014 can enter the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alphanumeric code) and they'll get the status of their vehicle whether it requires to go to the dealership or not. With this issue, if the door is half latched, then it might open if the pressure applied from inside. But, as said above that there hasn't been any complaint filed by any customer and the company is taking it as a security major at its end only.

I think it's good that the car maker has itself come ahead to rectify the issue it has found and not waiting for the customer to report the issue. So, if you got unlucky with such a car, then it's time to amend the broken fence.
