The Indo-Japanese domestic carmaker, Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new limited edition model of one of the best-selling Alto K10 car. The car is named as Alto K10 Plus Edition which is now available at Rs. 3.40 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new edition Alto K10 features an array of latest features over the ongoing VXi variant. The exterior features include chrome beltline, chrome accents on the wheel arches, plastic door protectors, rear spoiler, fog lamps surrounded by chrome outline. On the interior counterpart, additional features include , front power windows, reverse parking sensors, a piano-finish music player and a central locking system.
The price difference on the K10 Plus edition model has been pegged at Rs.15,000 with the standard VXi variant. This move from the carmaker is seen as clearing the existing Alto K10 stock before the launch of a facelifted version. Hopefully, the K10 Plus edition will allow the carmaker to deviate the attention of the consumers from the kwid model.
Knowing the fact that the Alto has been the best-selling car in the segment while the K10 was introduced with better performance and premium level model. Mechanically, the Alto K10 comes powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 68PS at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 90Nm at 3,500rpm. The engine is mated to either a -speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission.
The Alto K10 is available in six variants – LX, LX (O), LXi, LXi (O), VXi and VXi (O). The AMT gearbox and the new Plus edition will be available only in the VXi and VXi (O) trims.
