Maruti Suzuki Stingray to be Rebranded as the WagonR Minor

According to a recently leaked brochure online, Maruti Suzuki is coming up with a new model badged as “WagonR Minor” in order to create more excitement among its valuable customers. Going by the reports, it’s nothing but just a new generation edition of its tallboy hatchback, Stingray that wears a different badge of WagonR Minor. However, it is yet to be confirmed officially whether the carmaker is thinking of rebranding the hatch as Minor or considering of adding a new variant to the existing lineup. Moreover, the leaked brochure also has the official pricing for the car that starts from INR 4.13 Lakh for LXI trim and goes up to INR 5.36 Lakh for VXI+ (O) AGS unit (Both ex-showroom, Delhi).

Apart from the all-new Minor brochure, there were also some spy shots of the updated WagonR hatchback that is making a similar resembles the Stingray model except the WagonR badge on the tailgate mounted chrome strip. Besides, a new dual-tone black and beige combination interior with beige upholstery are spotted inside the cabin against the all-black interior of the Stingray. As seen in the leaked images, exterior colour options will include - superior white, metallic glistening grey, metallic baker chocolate, silky silver metallic, passion red, metallic blazing blue, and midnight blue.

WagonR Features List

Under the hood, the WagonR Minor will come up with same a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder drivetrain producing 67 Bhp at 6200 rpm with 90 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. A standard five-speed manual transmission is there with an optional with AMT unit. The rebranded variant will be available in 12 different trims along with VXI+ that is for the first time.
