Maruti Suzuki to Launch Wagon R 7-Seater in 2016

Maruti Suzuki India had been in the news for some wrong reasons in 2014, like failing of Swift in the crash test and others. Now, the company has taken the decision to launch a series of cars in this year and couple of cars in 2016 as well. The 2015 lineup will be getting Ertiga Facelift, Swift Dzire Facelift, SX-4 S-Cross crossover, YRA hatchback, Celerio diesel and others. Also, in 2016 the company has plans to launch XA Alpha premium compact SUV and facelift of WagonR hatchback, making it available in the 7-seater options as well. The car is already available in 5-seat variant as a hatchback and the increment of seats will take it to the hot MPV segment as well.

The reason behind launching a 7-Seater variant of the car could be the wide possibilities and inclined market trend also, cashing the popularity of WagonR as a hatchback car. The WagonR MPV will take the guard against the likes off Datsun Go+ MPV and Honda Mobilio with the former ready to be launched on January 15 in India. Although, the 7-Seater variant of the car will first be launched in the Indonesian market and after that it would come to the Indian market.

The features of the car are expected to remain same, but the engines could be tweaked to get better output and making it more fuel-efficient so that it could put a good show in the market. The car will be launched in late 2016 or early 2017 and would go the sale soon after that.
