Maruti Vitara Brezza To be Offered with New 1.0-litre Turbo Petrol Power Mill Soon

The leading Indian carmaker, Maruti suzuki has recently launched the much anticipated Vitara Brezza in the compact SUV segment. The car received an overwhelming response from the Indian consumers. The crossover received up to 5600 booking in just two days of launch. Looking to this even Ford had to drop the price of its popular Ecosport model by Rs. 1.12 Lacs.

Presently, Vitara Brezza comes powered by a 83.1bhp 1.2-litre petrol power mill, which also powers the swift hatchback. The company believes that the power output might not be sufficient for the SUV class car. So, the automaker has decided to bring Brezza loaded with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine in order to make its appeal better. The New Brezza variant is expected to be launched by the end of this year.

Suzuki Booster Jet Engine

The all-new 1.0-litre Turbo petrol engine comes under Suzuki’s ‘Booster Jet’ engine family, making it a turbo-charged 996cc,12-valve, three-cylinder layout delivering optimum power output of 110bhp at 5,500rpm and peak torque of 17.28kgm at 2,000rpm.

Moreover, Maruti is working on improving the fuel efficiency of the 1.0-litre petrol engine as well. Technically, In case of a turbo engine, the fuel economy varies with the driving conditions and becomes highly sensitive in the real life situations. So, it's quite challenging task for the automaker to offer a decent and reliable engine with Maruti Vitara Brezza.
