Maserati Levante SUV Introduced In India, Priced At Rs. 1.45 Crore

Maserati, Italian luxury vehicle manufacturer has launched the first ever SUV in the country and named it the Levante. The Levante takes power from a 3.0-litre diesel engine and makes the market fully attractive with three of its variants including GranLusso, GranSport, and standard. This is the second chance when the company has launched the latest model in India during the year 2018. The company had previously declared the prices of the Quattroporte GTS for India in the starting of the month.

The 3.0-litre, V6 diesel engine of the SUV comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The motor is able to churn out a maximum power of 275PS along with a capability to reach 100kmph in 6.9 seconds from a standstill pose. The Italian manufacturer claims that the SUV can reach a maximum speed of 230kmph.

The simplification that it is not a mere tarmac-scorcher has been revealed by its off-road performance with an all-wheel-drive system. Equipment setup includes an electronic power steering performing well along with a promoted Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) package comprising Active Blind Spot Assist (ABSA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), and Highway Assist (HA). The suspension system takes air springs all around and furnishes the car with the occupation of five different riding levels along with an addition of an extra-low level for parking to create ingress easy.

The company has decided to offer features such as forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic brake assist system, start-stop functioning, blind spot alert, surround-view camera, power lift tailgate, lane departure warning, and optional Levante.

To distinguish from the regular Levante, the GranLusso and GranSport take some more loaded features. The addition of new features in the GranLusso include Body-coloured side skirts, Ermenegildo Zegna Silk interiors, Ermenegildo Zegna Silk interiors, Steel illuminated door sills, Black-painted brake calipers, Front bumper with chrome inserts, Ermenegildo Zegna Silk interiors, Steel illuminated door sills, and Soft close doors.

Furthermore, the GranSport variant is also equipped with blue trident on the alloy wheel hubs, Blue inserts on the Trident, blue trident on the alloy wheel hubs, Skid plates, Saetta logo, front grid finished in piano black shade, sport rear spoiler, Sport seats, Soft close doors, Sport steering wheel with shift paddles, Steel door Sills, Red-painted brake callipers,

The Maserati provides a range of features inside the cabin and other equipment to decide from. The Maserati Levante will compete in the market against Porsche Cayenne, the BMW X6, and Jaguar F-Pace in India, all these SUVs are powered by a diesel engine and approximately put in the price range of Rs 1 crore.
