Mercedes B Class Hatchback Facelift Arrived in India

The German luxurious car maker, Mercedes had debuted its second generation B Class at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and brought forward to the Indian market in 2012. On the other hand, its diesel spec was introduced in 2013, while the updated version made the first appearance at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, which has recently been arriving in India via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) unit to assemble at the Mercedes's production facility in Chakan, Pune. This hatchback has specifically imported to the country for testing purpose, while launch date is likely to be scheduled sometime in this ongoing year.

The most awaited vehicle receives slightly changed exterior as well as interior to render a unique and new aspects with regard to its predecessor. On the outside, it gets a stunning grille, redesigned front/rear bumper, latest tail light graphics and exhaust design. Coming to inside, the Mercedes B Class Facelift comprises a new 8-inch touchscreen system, Ambient lighting, classic seat upholstery, keyless entry and go. Apart from adducing tremendous look, these updated features will also make the occupants gladden during traveling.

Under the hood, the runabout seems to remain same and will be powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine producing an impressive power of 120 hp. However, its diesel powertrain includes a 2.2 litre mill to churn out a spectacular power of 107 hp and deliver the best performance for the driver. Moreover, both of these mills are expected to confer better fuel efficiency than its current versions.
