Mercedes-Benz C-Class Arriving in India Tomorrow

It's like raining luxury cars this year in India and the most of the cars made-in-Germany courtesy to the German trio of BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz. There have already been many elite and expensive cars launched in India and some are still on the cards. The latest news about these classy runabouts is from Mercedes-Benz who is going to launch its C-Class sedan tomorrow in India. This Mercedes-Benz C-Class sends is rather a compact version of the S-Class sedan with tweaked interiors. For now, only the petrol version will be launched and the diesel model might get the light of the day sometime next year, after looking at the response petrol model gets.

The car will be brought via the CBU route in India and there are speculations of a limited edition C-Class as well, which might come equipped with AMG specifications and Avantgarde grille. Talking about its engine, the petrol version will be powered by a 2.0 Litre 4-cylinder unit producing 184 bhp power and 300 Nm of torque and transmits power using its 7G Tronic AT gearbox to the rear wheels. While the diesel variant, which will be coming in 2015 will be a 2.2 Litre 4-cylinder unit producing 170 bhp power and 400 Nm torque accompanied by same transmission system.

The price of the car would be around INR 30-35 Lac as and it'll compete against the likes of the Audi A4 and BMW 3-series cars. The company also has plans to launch the CLA model of this car as well, after C-Class gets good response though.
