Mercedes Benz GLS Class Likely to Debut at Frankfurt Auto Show

Mercedes-Benz is all set to introduce the facelift version of GL-Class as an all new flagship SUV. This model will be named as GLS Class, which signifies that it will be lined up among the S Class models. Moreover, this upcoming model will also resemble the latter in terms of luxury and quality. If the rumors are to be believed, it is expected to be showcased at the Frankfurt Auto Show to be held in September. This model will feature certain newly added features including the grille, bumper, tail lamps and exhaust tips. However, the powertrain will remain unchanged much like the current GL-Class.

Discussing the interior, it will get a new dashboard with a display screen. It will also carry a high-tech infotainment system and the interiors reportedly resemble the GLE Class models. The current GL Class model is itself the facelift version of the 2013 model. Apparently, the luxury car maker is constantly introducing more and more updates and improvements in its models. It is also planning to unveil three more SUV models this year which includes- GLE, GLE Coupe and GLC.

The upcoming model will be fighting for its market share with cars like AUDI Q7, Range Rover Sport and BMW X5. After introducing the GLS Class, the German car maker is expected to come up with another variant of this vehicle with the name 'Maybach'. The arrival of the updated GL Class model is anticipated to take place later this year or by the starting of 2016. Evidently, the automaker is adopting an aggressive marketing strategy with so many new models being revealed within such a short time span.
