Mercedes-Benz Launches GLC ’Celebration Edition’ in India

In the lieu to celebrate India’s 70 years of Independence, Mercedes-Benz has rolled out the ‘Celebration Edition’ of their mid-size luxury SUV, the GLC. For this special edition model, the carmaker has made changes in the form of a few premium additions over the top-spec GLC Sport trims and a new shade of Red.

Available for both the 220 diesel and the 300 petrol engines variants, the GLC Celebration Edition will make you spend Rs 50.86 lakhs and Rs 51.25 lakhs respectively. The chrome strip on the tailgate along with chrome accents on the air intakes are the additional offering on the Celebration Edition GLC. While the large chrome grille is the existing fitment of the standard model.

In addition to this, the sporty AMG-style gloss black wing mirrors and the fabricated LED logo projectors on the doors exit lamps are the new embellishments on the SUV skin. While, inside the cabin, sportier stainless steel pedals along with a Garmin Maps navigation are new bits for driver’s comfort and convenience.

Moreover, the limited edition GLC is advancing the similar features of the standard model which comprise three-zone climate control, panoramic electric sunroof, leather upholstery with power seats, auto-dimming power mirrors etc., along with the safety of seven-airbags and the electronic stability system.

Under the bonnet, the GLC 220d is blessed with the 2143cc four-pot turbo diesel engine that churns out the maximum power of 168bhp and the peak torque of 400Nm. While the GLC 300 gets the propelling power from the loaded turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that makes the power output of 241 bhp of power and 370 Nm of torque. The transmission duties are taken care by the mated a nine-speed automatic gearbox along with torque-on-demand all-wheel drive on both the trims.
