Mercedes Benz to Recall 150 Models with Defective Fuses

The famous luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz is reportedly going to call back 150 imported models in China on 31st July. This recall has been planned on account of faulty fuses equipped in these models, which can pose a great threat to the safety of its occupants. All the vehicles that are to be recalled were manufactured in the year 2014 in the month of September. These defective models include GLA, A and B series. According to a report by China-based Xinhua News Agency, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has stated that fuses in these affected cars may have been incorrectly installed in the passenger-side interior fuse boxes.

All the defective models will be thoroughly inspected and any defect will be repaired without any charges. This issue is likely to be resolved soon so that it causes minimum inconvenience to the customers. In this year, 2015, various car brands like Toyota, Nissan and Ford have withdrawn their respective models from the automobile market. Mercedes has also withdrawn certain variants of the E Class and CLS Class, earlier this year.

The recall of models has apparently proved to be harmful for companies particularly the one with faulty Takata airbags. Such incidents of defective models not only shake the faith of customers in the company but also cause fatal accidents. Looking at the reputation and popularity of Mercedes, this recall may not affect the car maker as much as it has affected other brands. But any recall- whether it is big or small- always causes inconvenience to the customers.
