Mercedes E Class W213 to Showcase Early Next Year

Mercedes is geared up to take off the cover from its upcoming E Class W213, which will be appearing at the place of the W212 sedan model internationally. Ahead of its global debut, the car has been spotted testing on the roads with completely covered up body. Anticipated to be based on the brand's latest design philosophy as the ongoing C Class and S Class, the runabout will lose its weight by 70 to 150 Kgs as compared to the current W212 model. Notably, the weight loss will be possible just because of underpinning by the new MRA (Mercedes Front Wheel Architecture).

There are rumors that Mercedes will acquaint an autonomous technology, which will be known as Mercedes Highway Pilot system on the production variant of this forthcoming vehicle. Interestingly, the company will offer a Distronic Plus cruise control system, by which the E Class W213 will be capable to make its speed low while seeing something in the front. An autonomous self parking system would also be available on the most anticipated runabout. Coming to its mechanical features, the E Class will be powered by a new six cylinder turbocharged inline engines and if the reports are to be believed, then all these models are currently under development phase.

Moreover, a plug in hybrid version may also be introduced in the sedan to render noteworthy choices for the customers. On the other hand, some of the safety features will be shared with its predecessor. Mercedes is expected to set up a long wheelbase variant of the E Class in Indin soon, while this model is already on sale in China.
