Mercedes GLE Seems to be Launched in India This Year

Mercedes-Benz introduced its M Class facelift in this ongoing month and now, the market report says that the updated vehicle is expected to be launched in India shortly in 2015. Named as the Mercedes GLE, it will get magnificent refreshments at its front fascia, which is inspired by the S Class and C Class with the rattling headlights. However, the mildly tweaked grille and bumper are quite enough to enchant anyone at an eyesight via rendering a sophisticating and charming aspect.

The manufacturer will offer two choices for bumper, including AMG Sport and regular that will adduce options in front of you to select your preference as per the taste and convenience. The rear profile will remain unchanged as its predecessor, while the interior will receive subtle modifications with a new 3-spoke steering wheel and a free-standing COMAND infotainment system. Currently, the Mercedes M Class is available in three engine options in our country, which will also be seen in its forthcoming updated version.

The oil burner variants will continue with a 2.1 litre four cylinder and a 3.0 litre V6 units to produce the outputs of 204 PS, 480 Nm and 258 PS, 620 Nm, respectively. On the other hand, its top end GLE 63 AMG S version will be powered by a 5.5 litre twin turbo V8 mill to churn out a wonderful power of 585 PS and would have the capacity to bestow a top speed of 250 km/h.

It will rival the likes of the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Volvo XC 60. Both of these diesel models are anticipated to be priced between INR 55 Lac to INR 65 Lac, while the AMG trim is likely to get the price tag of INR 1.5 Crore.
