Mercedes has unveiled the E-class AMG E43 executive sedan. Visually, it appear much sportier and modern. It comes with glossy black five-spoke AMG wheels and quad exhaust. It will be put for public airing at the upcoming New York Motor Show 2016.
Just similar to the GLE 450 AMG, which was recently launched in India, the E43 sedan comes powered by a tweaked version of Mercedes-Benz's twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 gasoline engine. Additionally, it comes with turbocharger boost pressure, latest software mapping and a 2-stage exhaust system. The engine churns out a peak power output of 390 bhp and 53 kgm of torque. It is further coupled to a nine-speed automatic transmission that transmits power via AWD 4MATIC system. The sedan is capable of sprinting from still to 100kmph in just 4.5 seconds and gets a top speed of up to 250 kmph.
The sedan also gets powerful braking and suspension system. It comes with three drive modes, namely, Comfort, Sport, and Sport. The added adaptive damping tackles the power efficiently. As of now, the E43 sedan will make its world debut at the New York Auto Show later this month. It is likely to reach Indian shores by 2017 as the company has different marketing strategy for India.
