Mitsubishi Pajero Facelift Might Not Come Before Next Year in India

It was revealed a few days ago that Mitsubishi Pajero Facelift is going to be launched in the 2nd half of the year in Thailand. Some images of the new designs have also been leaked and now the technical details are pouring in too. But, as far the Indian launch of this car is concerned, it is nowhere near till the early next year, claimed by the market reports. It seems like the company is not ready to take any chances with its only model available to sell in India.

Talking about the SUV, it has been learned that it would be based on the new Mitsubishi Triton, demoed last year in Thailand itself. If this gets done, then the new Pajero SUV will also gets powered by the very same and new 2.4 Litre MIVEC diesel engine, which is good enough to churn out 181 PS power and massive 430 Nm of torque along with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission system.

The car is sold by Hindustan Motors Finance Corp., which is famous for its Ambassador car that has been called off from production recently. The new Pajero will also get assembled at the Hindustan Motors Thrivallur plant, just like now and the CKD kits will be imported from Thailand. The company has also opened its first dealership in Gurgaon recently to boost the sales.
