New Bajaj Avenger to Launch in the 3Q of 2015

Managing Director and CEO of Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj, has confirmed about the launching of its cruiser motorcycle, Bajaj Avenger. Mr. Rajiv Bajaj has said that the motorcycle will be unveiled in the third quarter of this FY 2015-16, but, has not yet revealed any information about the details and changes to the motorcycle. “There has been good response to our Avenger bike. We now plan to introduce a new Avenger bike in the third quarter this year.” he said.

Bajaj Avenger 220

Earlier reports suggested that the new Avenger will be powered by a 199.5cc engine displacement, which is currently used in the Pulsar 200NS. The 199.5cc engine returns 23.52 PS of power at 9500 RPM and 18.3 NM of torque 8000 RPM, which is more than in respect to Avenger 220, such as the 220cc engine of Avenger returns 19.03 PS of power at 8,400 RPM and 17.5 NM of torque at 7000 RPM. The firm might introduced fuel injection system in the motorcycle to enhance the overall performance. Carrying a new engine, the upcoming motorcycle would be featuring some significant cosmetic upgrades, which might comprise of a fresh look carrying new body graphics, revised instrument cluster and rear disc brake.

Bajaj Avenger 220

The Avenger 220 has received a good response from the buyers as the manufacturer has reported a 9.4 percent of hike in Financial Year 2015. “We have taken some bold steps from January this year, one of which is to launch a new motorcycle in the mass commuter segment. What our Pulsar brand did in the super sports bike segment, we will now replicate the same in the commuter segment.” Bajaj added.
