The German based luxury auto giant has started the assembly line for the much anticipated new BMW 7 Series, and this time the maker is not bound to produce vehicles in its home boundaries or in the US. In the direction of expanding its production portfolio across the globe, BMW has set up an assembly facility in the Indonesia to target the Southeast Asia region. BMW 7 Series will be the first product to roll out from this latest Indonesian plant while other SUVs from the brand will also be lined up in the near future.

However, it only adds the diesel powered variants, while the petrol models are still imported to the country via CBU (Complete Built Unit) route. Moving towards specs of the India-bound BMW 7 Series, available in two versions - the locally assembled 730Ld Pure Excellent and the CBU model 730Ld M Sport.
