It goes without saying that the late 2016 was a great challenge for every manufacturer due to demonetization of India’s higher currency notes and they faced a sharp dip in their sales number. With the start of 2017, all the automobile manufactures have started rolling out their plans of introducing new as well as updated players here in the country with an aim to regain their positions. Maruti Suzuki is reportedly sparking the light with its all new compact SUV followed by many others. Below mentioned the list of all those vehicle launching in January 2017.

Maruti Ignis:-

Maruti Ignis, which is claimed to be the country’s first Premium Urban Compact vehicle, is finally coming to the Indian shores with several first-in-class segment features. Based on a completely new architecture which is lighter and rigid, this will be the third product after Baleno and S-Cross to be sold through Nexa Dealership. On the mechanical front, the Ignis will come up with both petrol and diesel engine options. Recently, a document related to the same also touched online revealing fourteen different variants of the car across both fuel options. The specification of the powertrain includes K-Series 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 61 kw/85bhp of power at 6000 rpm and a 1.3-litre unit making out a power of 75 bhp with 190 Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic transmission will be there along with a taxi unit as well.

Hyundai Grand i10 Facelift:-

It has been a long time since the Hyundai Grand i10 first introduced in India back in 2014 and is now due for a mid-life refresh. The facelifted Grand i10 will adopt a host of elements from the European-based Hyundai i10 facelift that displayed at the Paris Motor Show 2016. Rather than having an all-new cabin, it will come up with some refinement over the upholstery, possibly automatic climate control and touchscreen infotainment system. In terms of the powertrain, it will retain the same model's range including the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol making out 83 PS and 114 Nm and 1.1-litre iRDE diesel engine churning out 71 PS and 180 Nm. Expect the same 5-speed manual transmission unit as the standard for both petrol and diesel guise, while a 4-speed automatic gearbox with the petrol unit as an option.

Tata Hexa:-

The next big launch after the Tiago hatchback for Tata motors is the Hexa premium SUV which will be underpinning by the company’s existing SUV Aria platform. All the details (variant-wise details) have already been revealed by the company through an official Facebook group of this vehicle. Mechanically, it will be powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which is currently breathing the new Safari Storme. The base variant of the Hexa will be attached by the Varicor 320 which produces 148 Bhp of power at 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm at 1,700 - 2,700 rpm, while the higher-spec trim will be gifted the Varicor 400 motor under their hood that is capable enough to make run the unit with a massive power of 154 Bhp at 4,000 rpm with a peak torque of 400 Nm at the same rpm. A 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox will be there to help the engine for transmitting the power to rear wheels only. An AWD (all wheel drive) setup is also there but as an optional unit.

The 2017 Prius hybrid will get a 1.8-litre gasoline engine that is capable enough of churning out a maximum power of 97.8 Bhp with 142 Nm of torque. In addition, the upcoming edition will also sport a new lithium-ion battery, nickel-metal battery, and a plug-in hybrid globally. It is yet to be confirmed but the India-bound model is likely to receive a nickel-metal battery that will be situated below the rear seats. As the company claims, the performance of the unit has also been improved sports 10 percent increase in fuel economy and a 40 percent increase in thermal efficiency.
