New Mercedes A Class Facelift Unveiled

Mercedes has revealed its A Class facelift that has been presumed to be debuted at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Several aesthetic changes, additional features as well as tweaked engine lineup will be seen in this upcoming upgraded version. Talking about the powertrains, they will be same as the existing ones, but will get mildly revisions in order to exhaust lower carbon emissions and to render more developed fuel efficiency. The base A 160 variant is powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine producing power of 102 PS, while the frugal A 180 D BlueEfficiency model receives a 1.5 litre diesel engine to churn out power of 109 PS.

It will be capable of covering up a 28.57 km of distance in just 1 litre of fuel consumption and will return 89g/km CO2 emission. Other 220 D diesel and 250 petrol versions have been announced to be tweaked for conferring 7 PS of extra power. Notably, the most powerful 45 AMG will deliver the power of 381 PS from its 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine. All these powertrains will be paired to a 7-G Tronic automatic transmission, but the Dynamic Select Adaptive Suspension System will be found on some selected versions.

Mercedes A Class Facelift Exterior

In India, this hatchback will make its appearance in A 180 Sport and A 200 D diesel models. Design wise, Mercedes will adorn the A Class facelift by a diamond pin grille, edgy front bumper, new diffuser alongside integrated dual exhaust tips, revised taillight detailing and redesigned alloy wheels.

The Interior will be equipped with a revised COMAND system comprising MirrorLink and CarPlay support, an optional 8 inch display, upgraded instrument console, new seats and finest material quality. Whereas the runabout will be launched in Europe in September, 2015, it will bring to India via CBU route sometime next year.
