New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Came Out of the Door

Mitsubishi has finally unpacked its next generation Pajero Sport at the Bangkok International Grand Motor Sale with the new body design. Based on the brand's RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) safety body construction system, this upcoming SUV will go at the dealerships in three variants, GLS, GT 2WD and GT 4WD between the price range of 1,138,000 Bahts (INR 20.82 Lac) to 1,450,000 Bahts (INR 26.52 Lac). At the front, it gets dynamic shield design alongside the GR-HEV borrowed X-shaped grille, updated foglamps, headlights and secondary airdam.


Its rear end receives LED taillights, wide windshield and chrome stripped license plate enclosure, while the side profile comes with awesome wheel arches, LED daytime running lights and long side creases. Whereas the height has been decreased by 35 mm, the length and ground clearance have been enhanced by 90 mm and 13 mm, respectively. Dimension wise, this SUV has the length of 4,785 mm, width of 1,815 mm, height of 1,805 mm, wheelbase of 2,800 mm and ground clearance of 218 mm.


Inside the cabin, the new generation Mitsubishi Pajero Sport comprises a lot of comfy and safety equipments, such as a touchscreen multimedia infotainment system, redesigned silver accented dashboard, latest leather dressed four spoke multifunction steering wheel, stability control and ABS with EBD. Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, its new 2.4 litre MIVEC diesel engine will be good in making the output of 181 PS and 430 Nm.


Mitsubishi will offer this SUV in two drivetrain options, 2WD and 4WD as well as it has been claimed to be 17% more efficient than the current mill. In India, the forthcoming Pajero Sport seems to be introduced during the first quarter of next year as a CKD unit.
