It's raining cars all over the world and India is getting flooded with the launches. The recent months have seen a lot of car launches in India like the Audi A3, Toyota Corolla Altis Facelift and many luxury cars as well. Still, the companies are not looking behind and continuing to impress the customers with their upcoming launches. The latest car which has become a part of this car raining season in India is the Skoda Rapid Facelift which is going to launch in the market on September 25 with some tweaks in features and transmission system. The car will surely be offering a good fight to its contemporaries like Volkswagen Vento, Tata Zest and others.
The major change in the car will be its engine and now a 1.5 Litre 4-cylinder engine will replace the existing 1.6 Litre TDI engine. The new engine will be making the 103 bhp power and 250 Nm of torque. The mileage of the car will be around 22 km/l and I guess that is far better than many of the diesel cars currently getting used by the Indian customers. Talking about the features, the top-end variant of the car will get the features like cruise control, ESP and parking sensors. There is also the news of offering an automatic transmission system as the demand of the current era.
The price of this facelift Skoda Rapid may go up by the INR 20,000 if compared to the current model and the actual ex-showroom price could be around INR 10 Lac.
