New Toyota RAV4 SUV Debuted: New York Auto Show 2018

Toyota, a Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer has debuted a new and more prominent looking RAV4. During the New York Show, the company has launched the new Global Architecture platform-based SUV in one petrol and one hybrid option. There will not be any diesel variant, according to Toyota’s plans to eliminate oil-burning variants at the end of 2018 globally.

At the time of launch, the entry-level power plant is a 2.0-litre petrol. No further information regarding the engine has been revealed till now, but expect it to be built on a four-pot engine of the same capacity RAV4 previous model which provides 191.3. The latest variant takes a revised all-wheel-drive system which disconnects the rear axle in order to enhance the fuel economy.

Next is a 2.5-litre petrol motor which works in relation to an electric motor. Same like the 2.0-litre unit, no figure for the hybrid variant has been unveiled, but it will be a better option than the one offered in today’s variant. The 2019 RAV4 tougher in the new look is underscored by determined wheel arches and shorter nozzle as compared to the existing car.

Coming to the cabin, it is very luxurious and takes a centrally mounted infotainment system just above a neatly manufactured console.

The new Toyota RAV4 goes against the Nissan X-Trail and the Jeep Compass in the global market.
